COVID-19 3-Part Series: False Impressions, Real-Life Implications
Show Notes

As the nation is experiencing a dramatic surge in confirmed cases of COVID-19, the terms “false negative” and “false positive” accompany not only medical records, but also news media dispatches.

The public health establishment and the medical world have generally treated positive results of PCR-based tests for the virus that causes COVID-19 as if they are infallible. The evidence shows that this may not be true, and there are real-life implications of false positives – yet to date, there has been little media coverage of false-positive tests.

That is why Talk Ten Tuesdays Co-Host Erica Remer, MD will explore this unchartered territory in an exclusive three-part series on the weekly Internet radio broadcast. Joining Dr. Remer will be Andrew Cohen, PhD, who has been doing groundbreaking work on COVID-19 false positives.

Also on tap for the broadcast:

  • Chronic Care Management: Andrew H. Dombro, MD will join the broadcast and report on a new segment, Chronic Care Management. Dr. Dombro is the chief medical officer and co-founder of ClarityCCM, LLC.

  • News Desk: Timothy Powell, compliance expert and ICD10monitor national correspondent, will anchor the Talk Ten Tuesdays News Desk.

  • Coding Report: Laurie Johnson, senior healthcare consultant for Revenue Cycle Solutions, LLC, will report on ICD-10 coding relative to mental health issues and their physical manifestations.
